Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy defines the rules of collecting, processing and using the personal data obtained from the Clients by the on-line Shop problemykryminalistyki.pl/wydawnictwosklep, run by the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police – scientific institute (hereinafter referred to as on-line Shop).
The on-line Shop makes every effort to ensure respect for its Clients’ privacy and protection of their personal data, provided while using the Website and doing shopping via on-line Shop and takes all necessary actions for this purpose.

All definitions mentioned in this document have the same meaning as provided in the Regulation of the on-line Shop of the Publishing House of the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police.

Personal data are considered as any information related to an identified person or a person possible to identify.

All personal data are collected and stored on the Website problemykryminalistyki.pl, in accordance to the provisions of the Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 of The European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and Act of 18 July 2012 on Rendering Electronic Services.


What kind of data are collected automatically by the on-line Shop when using Shop’s Website (hereinafter referred to as “Website”)?

The on-line Shop does not collect automatically any kind of data, except from the data contained in the cookie files while using the Website. The cookie files are small text files sent by on-line Shop and stored on Clients’ computer containing information related to the usage of Website and on-line Shop. Cookie files are used by on-line Shop to run the Website and to provide the visitors with interesting information and store the data about visitors’ shopping preferences.

Cookie files can be temporary or persistent. Temporary cookie files are deleted in the moment of closing web browser, whereas persistent cookie files are stored even after closing web browser and are used to store such information as Client’s login or password, which makes it easier to use the Website. Clients can block installation of cookie files or delete them at any time by specific options in the used browser. In case of problems, please use help option in the web browser or contact the provider of the web browser.
Apart from cookie files the on-line Shop can also store the information usually collected by Internet system administrators within the framework of log files which may contain IP address, type of Web browser, Internet service provider and the address of a website that redirected a Client to the Website of on-line Shop. These data will be archived and used for statistical analysis and assessment of traffic of the users of the Website. These data will not be linked to Clients’ personal data.


What kind of data are collected by on-line Shop during registration and shopping process?

The on-line Shop will collect following information via Website and other forms of communication:

  1. first and last name,
  2. delivery address,
  3. mailing address, if different than delivery address,
  4. e-mail address,
  5. telephone number.

Providing the above mentioned data is voluntary, however necessary in order to make registration and do shopping.

Providing the data is voluntary and requires Client’s permission and is necessary for implementing the objectives mentioned above. We underline that a Client does not have to provide the personal data if he/she does not want to use the possibilities indicated above.

Clients are entitled to get access to their personal data and to correct them. In order to exercise this right please use options available at the account or contact the Data Protection Officer via e-mail: iod.clkp@policja.gov.pl. It is also possible to contact us via post at the address Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police, Aleje Ujazdowskie 7 Street, 00-583 Warsaw.

A Client has also right to make a complaint to the Supervisory Body competent for the issues of personal data protection.

For security purposes, in case of a suspicion that Client’s Account may have been violated i.e. by unauthorized access to the login and password used for signing in into the Website, please contact immediately the administrative services of the Website via e-mail: ksiegarniaclkp@policja.gov.pl.


Sharing data

In order to implement the provisions of Sales Agreement, the on-line Shop can share Clients’ data with the mailing service provider, which is Poczta Polska. In such cases the shared information is limited to minimum.

Additionally, Clients’ data may be provided to the competent public authority in case it is required by the mandatory regulations of law.


Technical measures, safety rules and Clients’ obligations

The on-line Shop undertakes all possible means and actions in order to protect Clients’ data against the third parties’ actions. Our servers, connections and Websites are properly protected in order to secure Clients’ personal data.

However our actions may not be sufficient, if Clients do not follow safety rules. In particular, Clients have to protect their login and password and do not provide them to third parties. Please remember that on-line Shop will never ask or request Clients’ login and password, except for signing in into the Website. In order not to allow other persons to use Clients’ account, please remember to log out after using the on-line Shop account.


Other websites

From time to time links to other websites may appear at the Shop’s Website. These websites operate independently from our Website and are not supervised by the on-line Shop.
These websites may have their own privacy policy, which we recommend to read. The on-line Shop is not responsible for data protection at other websites.


Protection of transfer of information

The data of particular importance – especially all kind of passwords – are transmitted via encrypted protocol Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
